Pastor Dane Schaudt became the Senior Pastor

at Liberty E-Free Church in 2006. Before coming

to Liberty, he served 14 years as the Senior Pastor at Harvest E-Free Church in Story City, IA.

Pastor Dane is responsible for preaching of the Word, working with leadership, overseeing staff,

and assisting with shepherding the flock at Liberty. Pastor Dane is a graduate of Northeast

Missouri State University (now called Truman State) with a degree in Secondary Education and a

minor in coaching. He received a Master of Divinity degree from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School.

He has served on several Central District boards throughout his 30+ years of ministry.

Pastor Dane is married to his wife Donna, who is currently retired after serving over 30 years as an

elementary school teacher. They have 4 adult children. Pastor Dane enjoys walking, riding bikes,

reading, visiting national parks, attending

high school & college sporting events,

and encouraging other Pastors.

One of Pastor Dane's favorite life verse is from

1 Timothy 4:12-13 “…set an example for the

believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith, and in purity… devote yourself to the public reading of

Scripture, to preaching and to teaching.”

Pastor Brian became the Discipleship Pastor here at Liberty in March of 2024. He has been in full-time pastoral ministry for over 10 years. Pastor Brian oversees discipleship, young adult ministries, Life Groups, and assimilation ministries here at Liberty. He and his family moved to Iowa from the Kansas City area where he graduated from Calvary University.   

Pastor Brian is married to his wonderful wife Annie. They have eleven children and seven grandchildren. Pastor Brian enjoys hiking, camping, reading, going on dates with his wife, and exploring with his children. Pastor Brian is passionate about cultivating a discipleship culture here at liberty where everyone is radically growing in their faith.

Pastor Brian’s favorite Bible verse is Romans 10:9; “If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved”. 

Rob Sanders

Pastor of Student Ministries

Pastor Rob was called to be the Student Ministries Pastor at Liberty Evangelical Free in February of 2014. Before joining Liberty, he was the Youth and Families Pastor at Keokuk Evangelical Free Church in Keokuk, Iowa for 11 years. He is a graduate of Hannibal LaGrange University. Pastor Rob is responsible for the youth ministries at Liberty E-Free and oversees the children’s ministries.

The greatest joy and gift from God that Rob has is his family. Rob and Shannon were married for 24 years and are blessed to have three children: daughter, Ashlynn and Son-in-law, Quintin and their daughter Evie, son, Christian, and youngest daughter, Gabrielle who keep life fun and exciting.

Pastor Rob loves to have a home that is open to teens and friends that they are journeying through life with. Pastor Rob enjoys all kinds of music as well as singing or playing the guitar or drums whenever the opportunity arises. Weightlifting, playing tennis, softball or any other sport, watching movies, going to sporting events, working on the house or landscaping, interacting with other youth pastors and spending quality time with the family are a few of the fun things that Rob likes to do.

Pastor Rob strives to remind himself daily to live Galatians 2:20 “I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God who loved me and gave Himself for me."
