SENIOR PASTOR: Dane Schaudt  Dane became the Senior Pastor at Liberty Evangelical Free in July of 2006. Prior to that, he served for 14 years as the
 first Senior Pastor at Harvest Evangelical Free Church in Story City, Iowa, a church plant. Dane was also the boys
 track coach at Roland-Story High School during that time. Dane is a graduate of Northeast Missouri State University
 (now Truman State), and Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, earning his "doctorate" in mistake management during
 his first few years of ministry. Dane is responsible for the ministry of the Word at Liberty E-Free. He also works with
 leadership, oversees staff, and assists with the general shepherding of the flock.

 Dane is very thankful for our glorious, all-satisfying God. He and his wife Donna, have been married for 23 years.
 Donna is presently a teacher at Monroe Elementary. They have four children: Kaitlyn (College), Karissa (College),
 Kollin (Junior), and Kara (7th).

Dane's favorite movies include; National Treasure, The Incredibles, The Ultimate Gift, The Chronicles of Narnia, the Bourne trilogy, anything with John Wayne, The Grinch, and watching an occasional "chick flick" with his wife. He enjoys eating at Lou Malnati's Pizzeria in Chicago, Hickory Park in Ames and any good BBQ restaurant.

Dane's music choices vary from any of the Passion CD's by various artists, Chris Tomlin, David Crowder Band, Third Day, Casting Crowns, Newsboys, Steven Curtis Chapman,  and Christmas music, including Handel's Messiah.

A few his favorite authors include; John Piper, Joe White, Joseph Stowell, D.A. Carson, Dennis Rainey, Charles Swindoll, Jerry Bridges and Warren Wiersbe.

Dane enjoys jogging, riding bikes, reading, taking walks with his wife, attending high school/college sporting events, working on the house, creating memorable moments with his children, interacting with and encouraging other Pastors. He hopes to someday have "his car" to be newer than 1980's, visit Alaska, take each of his children on an overseas missions trip (two to go), go on a Canadian fishing trip and to be a better husband.

Dane's favorite verse: 1 Timothy 4:12b-13  "...set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith, and in purity...  devote yourself to the public reading of Scripture, to preaching and to teaching."

 STUDENT MINISTRIES PASTOR: Jon Pausley  Jon became Liberty's Student Ministries Pastor August of 2010. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Theology from Baptist
 Bible College in Clark Summit Pennsylvania and has served in Youth Ministry for about 10 years. He has a passion for teens
 to know and love Jesus, who loves them more than they can imagine! He is very excited to be part of the ministry at Liberty!

 What Jon is thankful for: "A relationship with my Savior that is based on His character, not mine! My amazing wife of 8
 years, Shantel, and the journey of our marriage and our three blessings; Grace is five, Abby is three and our 1 year old
 little guy, Jake."

 Jon's favorite movies would include: The Bourne Trilogy, Gladiator, Men of Honor (not Maid of Honor), Remember the
 Titans, Dumb and Dumber, and even a good chick flick sometime, "I cried during the Notebook."

  Jon could eat a steak any time of day, any cut, any flavoring and at any meal. His favorite restaurants are Outback
  Steakhouse and the Texas Roadhouse. He also drinks a generous amount of Diet Mountain Dew on a very regular basis.

His favorite music includes: Casting Crowns, Remedy Drive, Jason Gray, Jeremy Camp, Chris Tomlin, Skillet and many other Contemporary Christian Artists. He also enjoys some classic 80's music as well

Some of his favorite authors are: Louie Giglio, Larry Crab, Doug Fields, Max Lucado, C.S. Lewis, Jon Piper, Chap Clark and he is a fan of John Grisham on Facebook and have read all his books.

Jon enjoys his family big time and spending time with his girl's at the park. He loves to explore new towns and places with his wife. He enjoys fitness and working out.

Someday, Jon would love to be on a game show! He would also love to take his family on some memorable vacations and take part in missions work together as a family.

Jon's favorite verse: Psalm 125:1-2  "Those who trust in the LORD are as Mount Zion, which cannot be moved but abides forever. As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the LORD surrounds His people from this time forth and forever."

  OFFICE ADMINISTRATOR/FINANCIAL SECRETARY: Samatha Meinders  Samatha joined our staff in 2002 and serves as our Office Administrator/Financial Secretary. She can be found in the church office
 weekdays between the hours of 8:00am and 4:00pm. You may  contact her by calling the church office or by using the link on the
 Contact Us navigation bar. Samatha and her husband Stan are active members of Liberty Evangelical Free Church where they serve in 
 the Awana Ministry and participate in their Small Group. They have two children: Seth (8th grade), Rachael (7th grade). As a family, they enjoy camping (especially at Hidden Acres), bowling, and watching movies.

  WEBSITE/PUBLICATIONS ASSISTANT: Jackie Rietveld  Jackie joined our staff in February 2010 and serves as our Website/Publications Assistant. The majority of her time is spent working 
 from home, but she is also available to come into the office. Jackie and her husband John, are active members of Liberty Evangelical
 Free Church. On any given Sunday Morning, Jackie might be on stage as part of the Worship team and John could be in the back
 running the sound and lighting. They have one son, Jacob (1st grade).  Their family of 3 enjoys spending time together traveling, seeing places off the beaten path, walking,  bowling and having family movie night.
